McConnell Brown (they/them/theirs) is a 26 year old non-binary multimedia artist currently pursuing a BFA in Studio Art at the University of North Texas. Their work predominantly resides within the three-dimensional sculptural realm through traditional methods, combined with elements of photography and digital augmentation. The mix of industrial and organic materials used throughout their portfolio reflect the ever-changing landscape of the South in which they were raised; McConnell’s identity is placed within these materials, letting the contrasting textures and behavioral properties speak to the complexity of their lived experience as a young, disabled, queer Texan.
